HIKING BOOTS (Sports Direct/ Go Outdoors are good and affordable shops)
LOOSE, COMFORTABLE TROUSERS (ideally waterproof)
A HOODED TOP OR FLEECE
A WATERPROOF COAT
SCARF, GLOVES, HAT OR SUNGLASSES (depending on weather and temperature predictions on the day)
SPARE CLOTHING (including socks, trousers and top)
RUCKSACK (normal sized to carry items)
FOOD (standard packed-lunch items, with snacks to keep your energy going)
WATER (Please bring at least 2L of water)
WALKING POLES (Optional. For those who are not strong walkers, a walking pole is recommended)
AVOID COTTON (Wear synthetic clothing as they are quick-drying)
NO WELLIES
