Looking for an adventurous challenge this April?

Then look no further!

After our hugely successful international hikes we are embarking on our third to Portugal, to the fabulous area Madeira! A country with rich history and surrounded by splendid nature, we will be taking you on a hike to P1 Vereda do Areeiro!

This 5-day trip has a registration fee of £550, which will cover flights, accommodation, hike and planned activities. The hike skill level for this trip is moderate/difficult and at times will take on paths that are at an elevated height. The hike can take up to 6 hours. 

The trip will take place at the end of April 2025.

The fundraising target we have set for its participants is £750, 80% (£600) of which must be raised 1 month before the trip takes place. All the money fundraised will be distributed amongst our current projects in Bangladesh and India, as well as our going towards our Natural Birthing Centre Project- Birthing Better Futures.

Estimated Itinerary

Flight Departure: TBC – End of April

Return Flight: Madeira: TBC

Luggage: All flights include underseat Backpack, so please pack accordingly. Additional luggage may be bought at the cost of the traveller, please let us know if you wish to do so.

Day 1: Expected Arrival at Madeira, Expected Arrival to Accommodation TBC and explore Funchal

Day 2: Group Activities, Visiting Old Town and cable car to Madeira Botanical Gardens

Day 3: Hike Day to PR1 Vereda do Areeiro. Leaving the hotel roughly at 4/5 am, the hike will take 6 hours. Hike difficulty – intermediate/hard. 

Day 4: Group Activities, Visiting Fanal Mystic Forest, Freetime

Day 5: Return home
